Exhaust Question
I have the Fujitsubo Jasma Exhaust and it has something in the middle of the exhaust that is spring loaded and held down by a hex nut. I was wondering if that was a silencer or it was designed like that for a purpose. Can't find any information online. If anyone knows about this please chime in.

Looks similar to the APEXi PS Revolution muffler.
It's a retracting valve that is activated based upon the exhaust pressure. Under high throttle or high load situations the valve fully opens to enable full exhaust flow and maximum power. Under low load, typical driving situations, the valve doesn't open as much, keeping the exhaust tone quiet.
