Electricity and Internet Providers......TX

I'm getting a new apartment soon and I need to select an electricity and an internet provider. Which do you guys have and who do you think is the best? I'll be in this place for 6months for the last semester of college so it's not long term. For internet I was thinking of getting a package internet/cable TV deal in the hopes it would be cheaper in the long run.

Reliant, TXU, comcast, ATT....who should I go with?

I should rephrase that, if Comcast is still Comcast in your area then you're golden, but if they end up turning into Time Warner or Road Runner.. run. Back when they were comcast we really didn't have any issues with them but two of my friend's did. Their internet would be down for weeks at a time(devastating for guys like us). Then came the transformation to time warner, and they were relatively manageable but they always made some hidden charges pop up here and there. Then came Road Runner...... wow..... kept shutting off the internet due to claims of one of our computers being infected with a virus or trojan or something. We scanned all 3 of our computers thoroughly with several scanners and didn't find jack. When we called them to turn it back on no on knew wtf they were doing and just kept pushing us off back and forth between their departments until we finally asked who we needed to talk to to cancel our service with them. I guess I'm mad at Comcast for leaving us lol. Broadbandreports.com usually had Road Runner's status in many states as "horror story" back when they had the front page overall review of the popular providers. I really can't suggest who to go with but I can tell you who to stay away from.
