I have pictures of one of the meets at Anthonys place from a bazillion years back.

Yes, I still have it. It blew a coolant o-ring the week after I was informed I was to be laid off back in Nov 2004. It's been sitting in my driveway patiently awaiting a heart transplant ever since. It will happen soon though. I've been given the OK to liquidate some funds to put a "new" engine in it. In the mean time I've been working on getting my GSL-SE off the trailer and onto the street. I've taken today off from work to do exactly that!

Neither rain, nor snow, nor dark of night shall stay these rotary geeks from getting together and talking smack!

Yup, rain or shine someone will show up. Hell, my GSL-SE now has insurance *and* registration. Perhaps I'll get it inspected today too but it's yet to be seen if I'll have time to do that.

Oh whats funny is if I point out a dent when I've just started her up since being clean and shiny makes dents stand waaaay the hell out... she'll stall... if I don't say anything all is well So like with real women... I've just learned to keep my mouth shut.

Something was wrong with it?

Since, it's Thursday and still no turbo, mine's not going to be there - I may come in the BMW though.

Well, don't risk damaging the car. If you bring it great, if you don't that's fine. Just show up and bless us with your presence.

I'll be there. Woot.

Unfortunately I haven't had time to get out to Kennedale and buy some methanol, so I'm still only running at 11 psi.

I didnt know Gremlins were rotary powered.

Anyway, Saturday night its suppost to be in the 30s, with a 50% chance of rain, so I wont be there... ...so if Richter12x2 comes by in my BMW I'm gonna make fun of him for it later.

I know it was like super hot Tuesday, but you know TX weather, and it aint summer yet.

Maybe, if you can tell me the difference between an s4 and an s5 alternator. I already have an alternator, so I'd sell you my spare for $20. The only difference I can tell from the one on my s4 was that the positive power lug is rotated 90 degrees from the one I have, all the connectors are the same. I actually used it once for troubleshooting and it worked fine, but I had to rotate my front motor hanger out of the way.

the harness plug is a big [ ] thing instead of a T

on another note, anyone know of a good shop to rebuild alternators?

Gotcha :P I do know Mazda has a rebuild kit, but I've never done it, because it was usually a matter of being down for a week while the parts come in versus having one that day for $130 at O'Reilly.

I was planning to drive out to the meet but the weather scared me off. The cold air would have been great for boosting but I was planning to stop on my way to work and the drive back home tomorrow was not a good idea. As you know Fd's and snow/sleet do not mix well. Hopefully next month.

The turn out was good for such a cold night. We did end up at the coffee shop to warm up. Luckly we did not get any rain or snow at the meet. See ya'll next month.

Maybe you know the answer to this then - on the hot side of the turbo where the downpipe goes, there are five studs - the downpipe would cover up 3 of them, what covers up the other 2?

Probably not a heatshield, because it's going to see boost velocity. I don't know though, I'm kinda stumped. :P Let me know if you're going to buy a new one, because I'll need that piece for my build, and you won't need it if you go to an aftermarket turbo, so maybe I can buy it from you.
