DFW RX-7 July Meet

To avoid re-rx7 making an official fail meet thread with no cool picture I've decided to take the initiative

When: July 5th, 2008 @ 8:00 (yes, THIS coming weekend, boys and girls)
Where: Parking lot behind Cheddars @ 635 and MacArthur BLVD.
Who: Everyone (who doesn't act like a ricer or a domestic elitist) who loves Mazdas and our friends.

If we are cruising somewhere we need to come up with a destination quick.

Excellent pic!!
You guys want to cruise to Tony's restaurant again? That was a pretty good cruise when we went there, plus good food. What do you think guys (and gals)? Whatever we pick, can we stay away from Hooter's? Those chicks had attitude problems.

What's funny is my father and brother-in-law want me to meet this blonde chick named Alex (I'm assuming short for Alexis) who works at that Hooters. Apparently she's cool as hell, into street bikes, and keeps up with AMA, World SBK, and MotoGP. All I had to say about that was, "perhaps you found the ONLY one that wasn't mad at the world about not getting the job at Bone Daddy's and had to settle for Hooters across the street."

Brocke, I live in Denton. We should totally cruise out to the meets sometime. I could swing by or meet ya somewhere on 35E.
I'll be there Saturday, but I'm also bringing a guest. She's not too into rotarys, but I plan on changing that!
Anyone putting in their $0.02 on where we should head to? Like I said before, Tony's italian restaurant seemed like a good idea. Nice cruise and there's plenty of sitting space for everyone. If we come to a consensus soon, I'll call ahead and get us reservations.

I shall be there.

I'm up for Tony's.

I missed the last meet because, I'm an idiot and lost track of the days. Did something happen involving domestic elitists? Some kinda "there is no replacement for displacement" type of argument?

Has anyone heard about the shootings on Bush? ******* had me all paranoid today. They say it was a dark colored compact and I'm driving down to Rotary Performance and BAAM!! ******* dark colored compact pops up in the rear view and is catching up to me at an "impressive" pace. I'm like "Well... that'll never happen to me", then I was like, "**** IT I'm the hell outta here." Down 2 gears and off we go! Now the cops are everywhere on Bush...

no, i'm just covering the entire spectrum because the weekend before last I went on a 300mile cruise with my friend's Honda group to a little lodge/resort place west of palo pinto to drive their nice little "touge" they had there and we had to deal with a few lamers from time to time who saw the brigade of Civic Sis.

And for the record I have no issues with any of the V8 FDs. I'm friends with one and amused by the other. re-rx7 got his *** whooped by one too.

Yeah the whole V8 vs rotary debate is raging in the Kills section. I'm staying away from that one! So Tony's? Whats his sn? Someone should let him know if we decide to go out there. Not to mention, I'd like to see 4ft of fire blown through his exhaust again....that was wicked..

I should be their, car's running good now. I just replaced rear pillowballs, trailing arms, and toe links. feels soo much better, and it's nice to have the clunks gone. Anyone know a good place to get an alignment done around Dallas?

As a side story, when I went out just now to test my work, a cop pulled up beside me at a light, shined his spotlight at me and told me to stop being stupid.

For an alignment you can try "Autoscope" in Plano. A little pricey but they do excellent work. I plan to get out to the meet this month. Haven't been to one in a while.

I'm kinda thinking about coming. It'd be a long haul, but I need to get away. However, since I'd already be spending ~$400 on gas, would anyone be willing to let me stay with them/pitch a tent in their yard?
