DFW RX-7 Club meet January 3rd 2009 - Woop! First post NSFW...
the v8 is good to 400whp stock everything, chip, more boost, intercooling or water meth injection will get u there,
the s4 all I did I put walbro in tank and two 550cc secondary injectors on the fuel part,
it has 4x360cc primarieas and 2x190 cc injectors stock,
I also have bigger turbo, 3'' exhaust, no cat, red race chip, intake porting and few other mods,
I like the s4 better its lighter and engine is build better forged and coated pistons,
strong rods, rod to stroke ratio is around 1.77 its a great engine that can handle 18psi boost reliable,
also lots of cross reference parts available for it,
the v8 is much more expensive to fix,

Can't you photoshop that dent out of my car? Or at least hide it and the off-color fender behind Allan's car next time?
Great turn out - I was happy to see THREE fist gens - must get one of mine operational again, though I'm really enjoying being an FC owner/driver, now. SICK FD was, well, sick, and evil. Loved it. Lotsa nice machines out there.
Next time, somebody drive a truck, so we can drag the idiot with the hyper-sensitive alarm to another parking lot...
It was cool to see the 43K FD I drooled over on eBay, and good to know it went to someone who could appreciate it. Take care of it Jacqui! Stock FDs are an endangered species.

Gah! That's a lot harder to 'shop.
Oy, I really need to get the core support straightened out and raised so the hood actually comes up level with the front facia. That's going to be the tough one, since I don't happen to have a frame and chassis machine in my garage (oh, I wish!) May end up drilling the spot welds out and replacing that piece with a straight one.
Wonder how much a body guy would charge to straighten all that out, no paint or anything...

Hey, at least it's sporting this fine steering wheel, right?

And now for some engine bay shots for the folks that popped the hoods for us...
BD's latest adventure...

The wicked flat black FD...

Little FB sporting some serious HP under the hood...

What th? Yep, it passed emissions for real...

One pan shot of the crowd at around 8:30 PM...

Ugh...I can see where the two were joined...funny that it looked OK on the Adobe editor.

Gnode...You're an ATS friendly right?! What is your setup?
My last car was an Mr2, but i still talk to Matt & Aaron....Have you heard of Matt's new setup?!
Very ATS friendly.
Walbro pump
ATS Forged Stroker
3rd Gen head with ATS head work
ATS IC fan/shroud
ATS TB inlet
ATS unmentionable discount on a clutchmaster stage 4
ATS valve springs
ATS valves
ATS (Matt) exhaust manifold heat shield
ATS fuel rail, 550s, ATS Rom tune, ATS FPR, Prototype ATS GT3071R kit - dyno'd on Aaron's car and then transplanted into mine at an unmentionable price since they did not want to sit on merchandise.
Used to use a CT27.
Come to think of it, I really ought to put an ATS sticker somewhere like maybe under the hood. It is basically like they have sponsored me. They take care of me and I take care of them.
Which new setup of Matt's? The one with the turbo with a compressor outlet the size of my fist that he is going to spool with nitrous?

Good pick on that 3071! We'll have to run some night...I think I'll be back on the road late tonight or tomorrow but I've also got some minor body work that needs to get done soon as well, otherwise I'll try & make the next Rx7 meet!
I actually do like that steering wheel. It's nice and fat for my big ol' hands, and the flat bottom lets me get in the car without having to squeeze my legs under the steering wheel. It was purely a practical purchase. I just wish it was a better grade of aluminum - I can pretty much bend it sideways if I try to use it to lever myself out of the car - but what do you want for $15 + shipping? (eBay represent, yo!)

That is a nice wheel. I was wondering about it since it's the first time I have seen that model. Good investment for the money.

I usually only go to a couple RX7 meets a year. Usually I go to the Monday night RKC meets when those are going. This Wednesday I am going to the di meet in Plano but not staying late since I go to a party every Wednesday. Just need to stop by and say hi since I updated the MR2.
I can has cookie?
The item name is "Racing Steering Wheel with Black Leather/Red Stitches"
they usually have several, split between "Buy It Now" and actual auction. Buy It Now is $18.26 with $15-16 shipping. Auction starts at $10.50. I got mine for $15.50 + ship. Steering column adapter came from eBay seller FastWayRacer Auto Parts Shop. $8 + $6 shipping. Everything fit great. I need to pull it and rotate the adapter just a little - it's cocked to the right just a couple of degrees, maybe one or two notches off on the splines.
