DFW Monthly Meet

I know that we are busy but wondering about the meet for this saturday April 6. Weather is not going to be great so I'm not sure if we want to try to meet up or not. Nice cool weather for those rotaries.

Get it? Because it's Halloween.... oh never mind.

So I said I'd create a map of where the local members live. I'm still missing ZIP codes of about 13 or so members I have in my list. I looked at monthly meet threads over the last couple years to create my list of local members. As most of you know, only a small percentage of those in the list actually make it out to the meets, but I thought it would be an interesting way to look at how we are spatially distributed throughout DFW.

Anyway, here's the link to the map. As a reminder, these are not published addresses, but central points of the ZIP code you provided me (or was listed on your signature). Let me know if you'd like to be added or removed.

Well damn, there is a lot more rx7 owners than I though around here.

Irving seems to be the central location for the majority of the owners.
No matter where we move it, someone is going to be doing quite a bit of driving whether they live in Allen or Benbrook.
I do feel sorry for the poor soul stuck way out Granbury.

I'm down for the meet saturday night if it's not canceled.

With the amount of replies it doesn't look like we are doing the meet thing today. Went to Car's & Coffee this morning, there was about three of us rotaries. Still had a good time, nice meeting everybody. Maybe next month we will try again.

Meet time is usually given as 8:30, so you gave up too soon! Not really. It would have been just you and me. Ima go home now and play video games.

Saw that CTS this morning at car's & coffee. I been talking to some of the fellow member's about maybe trying to meet during daylight, want do you guy's think? Not trying to stir things up because I'm a rookie to the DFW club compared to some of you guys but trying to make it easier to meet up. Just throwing this out there, thanks.

I think we usually scoot the meet time up a bit in winter, because of darkness/cold. It's at 8:30 during the summer to avoid some of the heat.
7:00 would be OK, I think. Maybe earlier.

me too!, but i do make one of the meets every week tho...i go to the cowtown meet at montgomery (new location) plaza - w. 7th street just west of downtown fort worth. the next one is oct. 10. it is every other wed. i saw a maroon colored rhd fd there once when we were meeting at fuddruckers.

when that one is on the off week i go to the spring park/1-20 meet in arlington. i see a stock red fd there pretty often and a blue 1st gen w/ a very loud exhaust

i take turns driving my fd, ws6, xr & supra, but if ppl want to meet up i can make arrangements to bring papa smurf out .

Moving the meet time up sounds like a great idea. Get to see whatever mods or issues people are working on plus it might seem a little bit warmer now that the warm weather is gone.

Shoot I would say meet at like 6 or 630PM, its already dark by 730PM. Plus that way i can get home before 10 or 11PM and not **** off too many neighbors with my full bridged FD.
