Question DFW crowd died???

It's been a year since the last meet or activity for DFW.
Is there anyone still around?
Tito, Andrew and Gilbert are around.
I know Andrew is still building, and probably will for life, if you see his project. LOL ;-)
My car was down for restoration for 2.5 years, but now I am doing a new engine (current not blown) and new turbo.

Yes, but you put them together and then you have an RX7.

Houston is having the same problem.
Mazda needs to hurry up with a RX-7 replacement.

I think the OG DFW 7 members either moved or don't own a 7 anymore. There are still some around. Most of the 7 meets are hit and miss. I haven't been to one in a long time which I need to fix that but work gets in the way a lot.

I used to really love those Cheddar's meets. The a little, ahem, spirited driving on GWB parkway. Super long time ago......

There's always the monthly RX7 meet.. but not many people show up (4-6 varying gen RX7's) and handful of non-rx7's

It's near Cheddars.. so probably the same one

Hi, I have been organizing the meets and events for the DFW Rx7 community for a little bit using Facebook due to it's ease of fast contact and information.
I hardly log onto the club anymore and it just takes a while for the posts to get any traction.
Along with the monthly meets I have held DYNO Day events at PRT Performance with Steve Kan, Sushi Saturday meets, and I have held a cruise. (looking to do another one)
Today I will be posting information on my Facebook page for a Rx7 grill out at the lake on March 3rd to give people a couple weeks to straighten anything out so they may attend.
The Rx7 community is small making everything a hit and miss but I'm trying to put together a variety of events at different times to gain more attention and attract more rotary enthusiasts to come out.

For more information, pictures, ect. here is my page:
https://www.facebook.com/DfwRx7Meet/?ref=hl

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, assertions please let me know.

Hope so see some of you come out.

Sorry for the confusion. I was looking down at my calendar and miswrote the month.
I have the event setup for April 3rd so we can use that Spring weather to the fullest.

Cool

Well there goes another one I won't attend.
Sunday is a family day not a Rotary Car & BBQ Day.
Maybe on a Saturday meet again before my new engine and turbo swap.

We should have a meet in Waco. Its kinda centralized for Austin and Dallas area. There are a few rotarys in Waco still also. Not sure how many people would want to drive that far.

Cool

LOL, just imagine how hard it is to get a few to attend a local meet, forget having to drive that far out to hang in a parking lot for a while.
Not happening any time soon with the possibilities of getting stranded at night.

So true, I hardly ever see any RX7 on the road in Austin anymore.

Yep. I'm an hour North of Austin and used to attend the meets, but there were usually at most 5 rotaries there even 4 years ago when I stopped going (family!)

They're all in either hibernation or open heart surgeries... or both? I haven't came across any here in Dallas either. Oddly enough, I saw them daily when I last visited Japan. I figured they would've been replaced by now as DD cars.

You can see mine tool around every weekend in the austin area lol. I'm the black 3rd Gen with te37sl. I do want to get more of us in town together. I rarely see them make it to cars and coffee any more.
