Corpus Christi Sept. 2007 Auto-x

Just thought I'd post this in case anyone is in the area. Here is a copy of our newsletter....
Yaaaahhoooooooooooo! It's autocross time!

Where? Cabaniss Field, Corpus Christi, Texas, at the corner of Saratoga and Ayers. Entrance on Ranger, go all the way to the end of Ranger, take a right to airfield entrance.
It's still SUMMER! And it's gonna be hot and sticky...very hot...bring SUNSCREEN and BUGSPRAY! Drink PLENTY of water.

PLEASE!, SLOW down in the registration area and on the road back to the Grid! It is not your warm up lap! Beware of the blind corner and proceed very cautiously.
Latest Weather Forecast ( see www.wunderground.com ):
High in the low 90's, humid, weather for the weekend in Corpus Christi. There is an 20% chance of rain.
Saturday -- Partly to mostly cloudy, 20% chance for rain, mid-90's temperature, hotter on track.
Sunday -- Ditto.
Please notice the changes for the Summer Schedule - no drive through on Saturday. Maps of the current course will be available (actually are on the website) -- helping place the cones is a great way to walk and learn the course. Practice tickets will be issued to drivers for Saturday and there will be corner workers on Saturday to replace cones and speed things along.
Newest Schedule

Saturday (Practice Day)

8:00 Gates open/Setup

9:00 to 10:30 Registration/Tech/Track Walk

10:45 Drivers’ meeting (no drive thru – only Track Walks)

11:00 Practice Runs.

Sunday (Event Day)

8:00 to 9:30 Registration/Tech/Track Walk

9:45 Drivers’ Meeting

10:00 Event Starts with Session 1
Be sure and check the website, www.stbrscca.com for any late breaking updates on this event.
Next meeting (2nd Wednesday of the Month), September 12, at Nolan's Poorboys on Airline at Cimarron, 7 pm.
STBR SCCA apparel can be purchased at EmbroidMe on SPID, westbound, just west of Weber.
From the Registrar: SCCA members will have registration forms completed and on file with the registrar (thanks Ann!)...this should save members some time at registration. However, tech procedures remain the same, so show up in plenty of time to get your car tech'd.

Regards,

Randy Bissell
