Eighteen cars are already entered in the Clear Blue Sky Rally. It looks like we will have about 40 entrants. Cars included so far are: BMW, Lancia, Mazda3, Mustang, Mini, Subaru, Toyota, and Volkswagen. So far Subaru is the only marque with enough cars to form a Team; it takes a minimum of three. The route is about 120 miles long, and includes some twisty and very pretty roads. It was all paved when we laid it out; they are working on one road, and if they don't finish by rally day, there may be several short stretches of good gravel.

If you have never run one of our rallies, you are missing a fun event. There is a "First-Timer" class, so you won't be competing against experts.

Uh, I hope you don't have the wrong idea about our rallies. We don't race. Cops take a dim view of street racing, so we never use that word when talking about our rallies. I know, there is a thing called "rally racing", but that's not us. We run on public roads, and don't want cops to shut us down, when we make a real effort to keep everyone under the speed limit at all times. Now, that's not to say that on a 55MPH road, in a corner marked 30MPH, that you can't have fun in the corner! And we choose twisty roads whenever we can.

So this event is easy on your tires! Even if they are too old for another track day, you can most likely get 120 miles out of them, on country roads. That plus miles to the start, and miles from the finish, is all you need.

PS: I used to put on "rally races," and I ran them, too. Loved them. But now I have slowed down a bit.
