Buying resistors DFW area? Where?

OMFG....I am trying to find a stinking 82K 1/4 watt 1% resistor and I'm having a hell of a time finding a store that sells them.

And dont say radio shack...they are not an electronic supply store. They have the one I need buy I have to buy a thing of 500 first.

Fry's would be the easiest. Tanner Electronics in Carollton will probbaly have them.

There is a place where you are guaranteed to get it:

www.digikey.com

Axial:The tolerance is only 5% instead of 1%, but still:

Surface mount (you'd better be really damn good with a soldiering iron):

If you want to go to Carrollton to buy parts go to Altex Electronics. They sell new, surplus stuff dirt cheap; that's where I buy all my stuff.

Also remember you don't need an actual 82K resistor. You could put a 50K and a 32K in series for instance. There's absolutely nothing wrong with doing it that way.

If you want to go online buy from www.mouser.com. They're in Fort Worth and ship everyday. I always pay for ground shipping and normally get my order next day. Digikey is good too but they have minimum quantities on most of their semiconducters where Mouser does not. I always check Mouser first; highly recommend them.

I should have posted here first before I started my search... I should have know you guys would deliever

I ended up going to Allied electronics in Fort Worth off of 820.

I needed a 82K 1/4 watt 1%

They sold me 200 82.5K 1/4 watt 1%

After I ohmed out a few I found one that ohmed at 82K. I guess that is my winner

Thanks for the recomondations... I realllly need to move up here

James

Edit - I did check out Mouser but they would not sell to me because I could not setup a business account. They did sound really nice though.

I had no problem setting up a 'business' account with Mouser. They just created a name for me. Schuh Electronics is how they know me.
