Austin / Houston / Dallas Shops
Austin / Houston / Dallas Shops
This question seems to get asked semi regularly here, but I don't see a recent thread. I googled and found Rotary Performance in Garland, haven't found anything else though.
What are some good shops in Texas? I live in Austin, but am willing to travel every half year or so to get some maintenance done.
Thanks in advance!

That's it, they are literally the only shop in Texas who specialize in serving rotary powered vehicles. There are likely other shops whom may have some experience but Rotary Performance has been in business for over 30 years so I doubt you find anyone with similar experience without going to other states.
For anyone looking in the Houston area, I know there’s a guy that runs a shop called Area 55 auto and he has experience in rotaries. Haven’t reached out to him myself but he’s active on Instagram and has some Rx7s on his page he’s worked on. Could be worth reaching out to him. But otherwise Rotary Performance is where it’s at.
Coming back to this, anyone ever used MZM in Georgetown? Their homepage has pics of FDs and they cite that as one of the vehicles they made their name working on.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Just picked up car from MZM.
Mohammed is great.
As mentioned in the forums previously, MZM isn't the cheapest, but they are thorough, timely, professional, and don't cut corners. They are conservative and honest with determining the condition of the vehicle...and I appreciate that.
They have years of experience and it shows.
