Very nice man. What color? I'll keep an eye out as I am in north austin also. I have a black 1994 R2 and a red RX8.
As far as mechanics go we're outta luck. MZM performance used to do rotary stuff apparently but I think they're gone. John Long automotive specialist also doesn't do anything in depth like rebuilds these days. If only Chris Ott would bring the RP crew down to the central texas area...

I'm hoping to have my car up and running next week and probably have the Dyno completed in the next week after. I'd be willing to meet up for a get together. I'm in the Pflugerville area.

Resurrecting this for all the wankels who don't do the facegrams and snapspaces. Been out of scene and moved around Texas the past few years but looking to meet some others in Austin. Anyone still use this forum? Please don't force me to do social media

Yeah, come and go and usually to browse the classifieds. Mine is back in the shop after blowing my rear rotor last May. Hopefully have it up and running and out of paint in the next month and a half or so. (Then hopefully have it on the road for more than 6 months this time)

Well Cars and coffee @ COTA is Feb 16th, anyone want to meet before and cruise out there?
I am located in Pflugerville and willing to meet between here and downtown to head over to COTA

I'm not really a fan of car shows, but I went to Cars & Coffee in November since the 24H Series race was on the same day.
There's usually a couple of FDs but on that day there were the most first gens I've seen in a long time. I see more Skylines in Austin than RX-7s nowadays.

Super Lap Battle is 15-16th so there will be some extra action going on if that interests any of you.
@Tommykaira What side of town are you coming from? I'll likely only stay for the C&C event as I have a wedding to attend that night but I am open to meet and cruise over to COTA on the 16th.
Can someone share this to the Facebook group? Open to suggestions on meeting spot so long as it is not south of downtown.

I was looking around everywhere for the owner of this FD. Talked to the FB owners for a while but never saw you. Maybe I will see you next time. I might be at cars and coffee or actually coffee and cars in Dripping Springs Sunday with my FD.

Depending on what you're getting done, just remember it likely won't be a pop in and out in a week thing. I say that, BUT realize that each time i've dropped mine off there it either didn't run, I had a ton being done to it or was setting up a new engine, turbo, harness, ecu, etc.
I would recommend for anyone in the Austin area that doesn't do all the work themselves. Mohammed also will take the time to explain things with you. He is certainly the opposite of pushy in trying to get you out the door.

Okay, thanks for getting back to me. I have a 1982 FB that is either carbon locked or something worse. I've gotten a lot of good feedback from knowledgeable people, but haven't figured anything out yet, and I have no skills/tools/knowledge. So MZM might be the way to go. It's been off the road for five weeks. At some point, I have to quit letting it sit and find a reputable shop, and it sounds like MZM is reputable. Thanks again. PS: Your car looks great.

I went back and forth on it. My car is far from unmolested at this point, and I have no intention of selling it. ever.
original mirror holes, antenna and spoiler holes all getting deleted. Some cuts for the headlights would ultimately be the least of the molestation on her.

Anyone going to Radwood next month? I am going to try to organize a few cars to pre-meet early so we can roll in and park together.
