anyone in texas own a dirtbike, i need some help

anyone in texas own a dirtbike, i need some help

hey anyone from texas with a dirtbike, i just need to know if its a state that you have to register the bike in, if its for off-road use only??

If it's Off road only, NO, but if it's dual purpose, and has tags, then you do.

well, no...but if you want to run it on blm lands or public parks that allow atv's/off road vehicles then from what i remember, yes you need to register it. I bought my old one in new mexico so i could avoid that as well as taxes.

thanks, and brio125 you said if you wanna ride it on public parks and blm lands, do you regester it as an ohv or do you register it like a normal bike? appreciate the help guys im military stationed in cali, with texas as my home of record and im trying to find a way around california's gay smog laws, thanks again for all the help
