That happened to me several times last year at Lollapalooza. I'm digging the chance to see Dylan and Bjork. I've seen the QOTSA and The Stripes and they rock pretty hard, and Blue October gives a decent show. I'd like to catch the Marley Bros as I am sure the "ambiance" will be nice in that crowd.

Nah, what are the $50 tickets? I got the 3 day pass for $147 and a buddy of mine goes to school down there so we will be staying at his house at no extra charge. Woot! What about yourself?
We have a hotel about a mile form the park. They had a day a couple of months ago i think where you signed up via email for the $50 tickets and then they had a random drawing. If you were selected you got $50 tickets (Limit two).

Good deal. Everyone want's to camp out the night before Dylan plays so they get front row view. Personally not too much into Dyland but there are a few I like, tombstone blues being my favorite. Had no idea about the drawing but I wasn't for sure goin till yesterday so I was SOL either way.
Bastard!
Killjoy nice score on the $50 tix. I signed up, no luck...went to buy the $120 tix, sold out in a few hours, so I bought my pass for $145.
I live about 1/4 mile from the front gates, so close I can hear the music from my place, so I go every year no matter what the lineup. It's always fun.
Sneak in beers, paying $4 for Lone Star is not cool. Neither is September in Texas, so be sure to take Barton Springs breaks. I usually jump in while walking to and from the festival between the bands I want to see.
I may have an after party on Saturday...I usually do, so let me know if you want to come by. I'm still driving the Mound though I don't frequent here much anymore.
No band in particular that I was as excited to see as the Pixies a few years ago, but Dylan is cool...Bjork, My Morning Jacket, Steve Earle, and a host of others...always a good time at ACL.
