3rd gen questions.

dunno if I should have posted this in the 3rd gen forum.. figured it might serve some more relevance seeing as i'm in the dallas/fort worth area.

well here's the scoop... right now i'm driving a 91 'vert, but (you'll get a kick out of this) my sister really wants it back.. it was originally her car. so i'm going to drive it up to cleveland this christmas and take her civic (yippee) back down here.

after that, i'm going to sell the civic (probably good for 3-4 grand) and look into buying an fd3s.

i've been to rotary performance in garland many a time to fix up the current 7, and i've talked briefly with them about the advantages/disadvantages of the fd3s in comparison to the fc3s.. i already knew fds performed better, i was more interested in the reliability issue. i didn't get as straight an answer as i'd have prefered... so... any advice would be nice. it's going to be a daily driver (keep in mind, i'm still in high school :x, only driving a few miles to school and back, and then another few miles to work and back), and i might think about taking it to a track every once in a while just to have a safe(r) spirited drive.

i don't plan on modifying it to death. only reliability mods and performance exhaust, most likely.

so.. in the question of reliability and, naturally, fun.. would it be smart to invest in an fd? or should i stick to a 2nd gen? <-- would most likely be a turbo II.. i'm planning on spending 12-15k (depending on how the financial situation is.. it's not exactly easy to finance when you're 17, lol) on the car.
