Maybe start in Dallas head SouthWest to Ft. Stockton then SouthEast to South Padre the route would be around 1000 miles. $500 buy in +100 per extra rider/driver (covers 2 nights accommodations and 2 dinners plus various promotions?)

What do you think?
sounds good to me, but I will need help setting that one up

here is a link so you can vote on a date for the Dallas cannonball 2009

Superbly, however, "Furious" rex becomes "Ol' Smokey" rex at sustained 7000 rpm driving from the darn leak burning off the exhaust pipes...and, no, the exhaust is nowhere near the flash point of oil or I'd have been baked a long time ago...

Think of the pressure required to burn diesel without an ignition source... ..it's only a danger on a track since the rex is laying a film of oil at sustained high rpm's.

Well I'm working on having mine ready to drive by then. My income tax needs to hurry!

Also installed my new windshield for the ultimate driving experience.

I'll be there. Finally got a car that I can expect to run long enough to get to the end without blowing a motor or a waterpump. Though I should check here after hearing about it on the Subie forums. I looked at the maps and anything having to do with 360 is a bad idea since the traffic volume there is so much greater. I like the big ring. Any old school DFW folks going to show that I might still know? Its been years since I have seen anyone.
