It is actually an autocross and takes place during the STBR's regular autocross event.
We did have a lap type event in conjunction with the Porsche Club of America in March. We might have that again next year if we still have a local venue for HPDE.
There is an autocrosss this weekend. Practice was today and the timed event is tomorrow. Anyone in the Corpus area should come out tomorrow to run or at least check it out.
Let me know if anyone needs more info.

That would be great. And if your black FC and my black FC are ready by then, we could have 3 black FCs running out there.

...and if you act now, you also get....

Ok, this weekend will also be the South Texas Mazda Meet. So come down to Corpus for a weekend full of fun stuff for Mazda enthusiasts (especially rotorheads).
Here is the original post from the Mazda meet coordinator as posted at DFWMazdas...

South Texas Mazda Meet 2008 Sept. 5th, 6th and 7th in Corpus Christi, TX!
Wanting to see what kind of response we get from the forums. Our good friends at TeamC-4.com will be hosting a 2008 Time Attack Challenge in association with the South Texas Border Region SCCA's September Auto-X.

SPECTATORS=NO ENTRY FEE!!!

Fees to run your car BOTH DAYS are

$25 for SCCA members and Military!

$35 for non members

Tenative schedule:

Friday September 5th:

Meet up between 6pm-8pm at Fun Trackers for some Go-Cart racing 'till 9pm or close!! Then afterwards party with the SMACC addicts, it's SpeedE's 30th Birthday (that's me, haha!)!! Myself and a couple other non-drinkers will provide DD if needed (Friday)

Map for Fun Trackers:

Bump!!!

Anyone?
The Southern Mazda Allied Car Club (SMACC) is having a Mazda meet there that weekend. They are bringing Mazda people (including some rotorheads) from DFW, San Antonio, Houston, Victoria, Austin, Laredo, the RGV and other areas to this event.
Champion Mazda in Corpus Christi also just agreed to help sponsor the event so I expect them to provide prizes and/or giveaways to the Mazda people at the event.
I expect all of their divisions (Mazda, Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc) to provide prizes for the fastest of each manufacturer they represent.
Come join the fun.

Pre-tech dates

We are setting 5 dates for doing pre-tech inspections. Bring your car and see if it will pass tech or needs something repaired, changed, added or removed. You will still have to pass tech on the day of the event to run. These are not official tech inspections but rather a way for you to make sure your car is ready for the event. If you can not make any of these events, please contact me if you need a pre-tech inspection at some other time. TimeAttack@TeamC-4.com

Time Attack pre-event dates:
August 19 at the Tuesday night Sonic meets at the Sonic on Saratoga between Cimaron and Airline.
August 26 at the Tuesday night Sonic meets at the Sonic on Saratoga between Cimaron and Airline.
September 2 at the Tuesday night Sonic meets at the Sonic on Saratoga between Cimaron and Airline.
September 5th at the Southern Mazda meet at Funtrackers on S.P.I.D. and Flour Bluff Dr. in Flour Bluff.
There will be another pre-event tech date on the weekend of the 29th-31st. The exact date or location are yet to be decided. I will post the date and location as soon as it is set.
