The SCCA ProSolo tour comes to Mineral Wells May 20-21. This will be one of 9 national events with drivers from all over the country. ProSolo involves a pair of mirror imaged autocross courses and a drag race start (Christmas tree and all). A tournament style bracket is setup with heats run throughout both days to determine the Top Eliminators (winners) of each class. Those Top Eliminators then meet Sunday afternoon and go head to head (with the slower cars receiving a head start).

I ran my first and only ProSolo shortly after I began autocrossing and had an absolute blast. The clock starts running as soon as the lights go green so reaction time is part of your total course time. Spend the entire weekend trying to cut the perfect light and leave your opponent sitting at the start line. Did he make it off ahead of you? Get it back! As you're driving your course you can sneek a peek at the other guy to see if you've caught him yet. You'll love it. You're guaranteed a minimum of twelve runs before you can be eliminated but staying and watching the final round is the best part of the entire weekend. There has not been a ProSolo in Texas for a number of years so come out to this one!
