Damon, congrats on your #1 finish in our division for Super Stock last season. Beating those Z06 Vets is no easy task. Good luck in 2006.

Not gonna make it this weekend. My race wheels are still covered in Goodyear GSCS tires which ain't gonna cut it for autocross.

I haven't had time to get them dismounted and get my fresh stack of 710s mounted. See you next weekend for the SCCA events.

Thanks, but honestly my position should have been 2nd. Jim Hollinsworth in his Z06 won every event he came to, but he only ran 5 or 6 events so I outscored him in points. Hopefully he turns up more often this year.

From who I know of SS locally should be five Z06, one Elise and one RX-7. Perhaps more I don't know about? Should be a fun year.

If everyone keeps coming SS will be big this year! A bunch of C5 Z06, an Elise, a Porsche GT3 and my FD. I think we had about 10 drivers in SS yesterday? Unfortunately we lost one SS competitor as his new C6 Z06 puts him in ASP.

I think I ended up fourth or fifth; I didn't pay attention once I got bumped from third. A bunch of us were really close. Neal put the hurt on running mid 67's while the rest of us were a second or more back. I ran a pair of 69's and could go no faster as I kept fighting the brakes. The ABS went kaput and I couldn't get the car to stop without it seeming to take years! I think the ABS computer is gone and it's probably the same gremlin that put me in the dirt at MSR a few years back.

Frankly I was very surprised to have turned the times I did, but you couldn't have asked for a more suitable course if you were an FD driver. Very fast, long flowing turns with lots of high speed offset gates; no slow corners. Run over the edge of the gates and keep the throttle on the floor. All *****. I was carrying the rev limiter in second and using third in two other places, had to be doing 80+. We'll see what Geez says; I'll update the same thread I've been using.

Pennington is next week and if SS was this tight on such a big course we should be all over eachother next week.

HAHA, nice way to put it.
I just found out that my car won't be able to run this sunday, but i'll look for you on the 2nd of April for the next SCCA Event.

I'm actually really bummed out that i'll be out of town for the March 26th PCA Race at TMS.. those are always excellent.

Now that I'm in the new job, I'll be working on changing that. I'm sure I'll drive my GSL-SE once it's finished and my wife will drive the FD in ASP once it has a heart transplant and some new anti-sway bar mounts.

Looks like a decent chance for rain this weekend. I haven't figure out if I'm going to make it or not. I'm up to my elbows in grease replacing an oil seal and the harmonic balancer in the C4. Haven't had time to get my tires switched yet.

Dude, send your girlfriend out to do it

I don't know that I'll have my brakes fixed either. I'm finishing up the nursery this week and haven't even looked at them yet.
