wiring ignition coils?

i know most of you single guys have aftermarket ignition setups so i thought i would ask here? my car has had a crane hi6s amp on the leading coil installed before i bought the car over a year ago. it eventually fried my stock coil, so i bought 2 lx91 coils to replace the stock unit. do i wire these in parallel or series with the two leads that were on the stock coil? or will this setup require 2 amps? thanx for your time-garrett

you need to wire it in parallel , and yes one amp can work but two would be better.

i hooked it up in parallel first and got nothing but backfiring and it would barely run, so i switched it to series and it ran fine??? i think parallel is a problem because the total resistance is not additive. i'm going to call crane's techline tomorrow and see what they say.
