mate how much money do you want to spend ??

If ya got heaps then crank it up and see what you can get

if not then stick to around 1 Bar. Ive been running 1 Bar for almost 5+ years on a stock S5 13b and never had a problem on 98 Ron fuel.. still was lucky to get a good tuner

Just a quick question while we are on the fuel subject. Would I have to adjust anything in regards to timing (or anything for that matter) on the power FC if I were to go from 93 octane, to 100 unleaded octane? I currently am running a power FC, downpipe/metal cat/catback, intake, and FMIC. I know the higher the octane the better, but would I be risking anything jumping to 100 octane w/o any adjustments?

I appreciate any help!

Nope. I have run c16 in the past at the strip with no adjustments and had no problems at all.

I would have to challenge this statement. The only reason to run higher octane is to help resist detonation. If your boost levels don't require higher octane to prevent detonation, you are only losing power by running higher octane. I run 100+ octane on anything over 14 psi just because I like to have a "safety margin" and because that is how my car was tuned. If you're going to the track with a well-tuned car and are only going to run 10-14 psi, there is no reason to run higher octane.

run for how long? streetable setup? are we just talking peak horsepower here?

As a rule of thumb, 125 mph trap speeds is an impressive (but achievable) long term performance level for a modded-out-the-ying-yang FD.

93 pump here stock body.
15psi

I run slower with race gas, I don't feel safe advancing the timing enough to make up for it.
Now 25 psi is a total different story, not many can balance everything as easy....that's where it needs to be.

heres how I go about it....
15-16 psi=pump gas
17-21 psi=VP 103 unleaded or cam2 110 leaded
22+psi=C16 advance timing to compensate for slower burn rate of fuel

I run a 22 lbs wastegate spring and boost is set to 24 low-27 high
run C16

Water injection with pump go up to 19-20 psi, but you better make your system is always working correctly with that boost....you have to lean out the a/f ratio when running water injection to compensate for the water molecules taking up the space where the O2 use to be, because it will make it run richer, well if your system fails, your car will run lean and you will detonate, but the companies make warning systems for clogged nozzles and low fluid levels.

I run Sunoco 110 leaded fuel with 15* timing. I don't know how much more timing would be safe....but it does run 122 mph in the 1/4. CJ

Great thread. Now for matching compressor maps to your engine, you should have a consumption chart, at least so i've been told. Has anyone come across a consumption chart for the 13BREW such as the one on www.forcedinductions.com for the 414 C.I. LS1?

what about nitrous and boost then. If you're at the 15 psi pump gas threshold....and squirt a 50-75 shot? what then? I know timing is an issue. but what do you do with the fuel type?
