Whats the best brand and type oil?

I have a t-66 turbo setup and a street port in my 94 rx7 and I was wondering what is the best brand of oil to use and what type oil to run. I have a haltech for my computer system. I just got my rx7 so I am not sure of what kind or weight to use. thanks

are you using the OMP or premix.

If you are running the OMP, I would suggest Castrol GTX, in a 10-40 or heavier weight. I used to run this in a
20-50 weight in my old 12a engine and it ran very well and the plugs lasted a long time, any other oil seamed to **** them up, ask the first gen forum and everybody will say Castrol GTX

If you are running Premix, and are looking for the highest quality oil, I would suggest Amsoil Turbo-formulated 10-40. I plan to run this in my new 13bt setup.

you can usually buy amsoil pretty cheap from mail order companies like Summitracing.com or jegs.com

amsoil is fairly expensive though.

If you are running premix I would go with a full synthetic.

Castrol Syntec, or Mobil 1 are good choices.

Mobil 1 is standard equipment is cars like the Viper, Corvette, Ferrari, Porsche, and a lot of high performce Bikes.

Thats saying alot.
