what single turbo should i go with?

Idk, the stock twins arent enough for me really anymore,

i think i may want to go single instead of messing with the twins anymore.

what do you think would work well. I want to have a turbo that has all around power, but also has good top end power to. I want to be able to still auto cross it and get into road course racing, but i also want to be competive drag racing too.

something pretty much all around...

i was thinking of maybe a gt35r. i dont like 'turbo kits' i think they are a waist of money.
also i would like the idea of using pump gas most of the time, but with the ablility to run race gas and tune for it to max the car out
any other ideas?

thanks

i want something that will still spool up quickly, but something that is efficient enough to push high levels of boost if i want to...

my friend with a galant vr4 was using a gt35r and on pump gas was running 18 psi, not sure how much power, but on race gas he was pushing 40psi and pushing 520 whp...

i dont want to push that much boost, but i want something that is going to give me good midrange power so i can focus on road course racing and autox, but i also want it to be efficient enough to run mor boost and do well drag racing...

4.77 gears will help make up for some lag at least.

That is my guess. 40psi on a 35R is pointless tell your friend to buy a larger turbo. What you asking for is hard to do so that is why "I think" you got the response you did. I say 35RT4 will work great for most of what you need, but it won't work if your wanting to dominate at the drag strip. So find out what is most important to you and go from there.

why not upgraded twins? bnr, m2, and knightsports will probably do the trick since you autocross and need that low end power

i just find having twins to be a little to restrictive on the top end, in autox im in my upper rpm ranges most of the time due to my 4.77 gears, i would like to have more top end from a single...

due to my gears i think i can pretty much make up for any mild lag a mid-sized turbo will give.
