Question What else does the GT 3540 kit need?

I've hear that the GT kits need a few hundred dollars worth of parts, after the already high price of these kits what else do you need for a complete bolt on?
A BOV, what else???
What is everyone else going to use?

Re: What else does the GT 3540 kit need?

The kit needs a K&N Filter $45 and a 90 degree coupler/hardpipe $41... i run a FMIC..thats all i needed but if you run the stock IC you will need to buy some pre-bent IC pipes from Greddy/HKS/Apexi ($50-60) to fit...everything is there even a full set of block-off plates

good luck! and plan accordinally with your $$ cause with any turbo install you might run into some snags or broken parts, its not a cheap proposition

Thanks, I'm pretty much all set, maybe I'll add a FPR and upgrade my primaries. I like my stock twins, but I got run pretty good tonight by a 20G FWD Eclispe, my twins just seem to die up top, and I felt pretty bad be beaten by a DSM. I beat it from a stop, but it was one hell of highway car!!!

besides above, you also need a boost controller like profec B. That's around $400. I am finding my intake air temp to be 47-50 degrees C in the best of circumstances. It easily gets into the 60s in traffic. Some kind of cold air intake and heat shield seems necessary, as well.

oh, and a pulley kit, because you have to remove the air pump.
