well It all depends on who tunned the car.. I know of 7 that was tunned buy Rp that had bbt-66 and only put down 400@19 psi 350@15psi, the intercooler had too much pressure drop and they tune to keep the motor from popping.. honestly I would rather have a greddy t-78 becuase lag does not bother me and I will run 25 psi a t the track..

gt35/40=quiq spool-up midium top-end
dual bb t-66=spool dont know (66mm comp is quite large)may spool slow but my friends say huge top end
my uncle has a turboII and he has a turbonetics t-04smething and it spools kinda slow but the car was
dynoed and it put out 467rwhp @ 18lb. boost

I really think that 35/40 will put down more rwhp at 15 psi than t-66 will ..

in puerto rico there r a lot of good mechanics like that dude tito racing and siguel racing puertorricans r the rotor genius of the world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1.15 will have slower spooling than the 1.0. You will be happy with a Dual BB Divided 1.0 P trim , mated to a fully divided exhaust manifold. The GT3540 does spool quicker but cannot match the flow of a GT66

Here is a sum up

If you want good spooling but dont really care about making big power then the GT3540 is for you. Im not saying that its a shitty turbo, just small. The DBBs on a T3/T4 Turbo is good. This would be my only suggenstion. Never use anything thats T3 on your rotary engine ever. If you do choose the GT3540, go with a larger exhaust housing. The T66 is for steet kings. Big hp searchers and alot of drag racing. Running in 20-25 psi with this turbo is where is is comfortable.

curiosity and myuncle has a turboII and my father had a
1rst gen and when my uncle started moding his rx7
i got a ride and i loved it ,god it was so ******* FUN
iv been asking for one since i was 14...

plus i wish i had a 94-r2 with ahuge single turbo tha
can run the low 11ns on a 1/4 mile damn im making
plans and drawings already when i get bored
rx-7 loco man...

Its not the boost that you pick the trim for, its the air flow. For the most part, you wont need a q-trim on a 2rotor. Add another rotor on, now you need a q-trim

anyhow, it would be a lot easier if you posted what kind of power, spoolup, pricerange and other things so we could give you the BEST suggestion for your (imaginary) application.

1/2 bridge ported ( standard ) 13b REW , T66 1.15 A/R P trim @ 18-25 psi for the street no BB though , what ya think ?.
