i just wanted to see what afr's you guys are running under boost and cruising on 93 octane. right now i am getting about 12.6:1 @ idle, 10.3:1 under boost and 13.6-14.3:1 cruising. seems to be good but i was getting some detenation under boost, i think it was timing related. can a rich afr cause detenation?

I like to see mid-high 11's under full boost.

 

You don't state what temperature and what method of measurement. Are you using a TE WB kit? Are you sure the sensor and hardware are reading correctly.

As you intimate in your message, you have different goals for different 'areas' of your map. High boos could be different than low boost and vacuum. Idle and steady state cruising could be different.

If you really want a good analysis, provide a log that shows AFR going into and coming out of high boost. If you have datalogit with the WB, pm me and I can provide more information.

i have an FJO wide Band w/ numeric display and no data logging kit. i also have a greddy egt about 4 inches down from the turbo in the dp. i usaly see about 800de C under 10-15psi of boost with 10-10.5 AFR. i think i will shoot for more like 11-11.5 AFR up to 8-10psi and then rich it to 10.5-11AFR from 10-16psi. what egt's should i avoid under boost?
