wastegate tie in and Wideband
wastegate tie in and Wideband
I hear that getting the wide band sensor a bit away from the turbo is good for consistency, so I put the bung right near the last turn before the cat. But my wastegate runs in right around there too...so i'm gonna have quite a bit of turbulence in that section of the exhaust.
my wastegate routing is at a major angle...not straight in...so...it should disrupt flow TOO much...
any advice or experience having wastegate turbulence cause erratic wideband readings?

Did a car that had the bung near custom join-in on a T78 DP/WG. Was before a bend down to the MP, but right after where the two pipes joined. Readings were good.
Not the turbulence as it is the heat I imagine. Too close to the hot side and the unit is out of optimum temp range for operation.
However, I did get some wacky readings on a car that had the bung right after a bend, on the inside curve. Perhaps turbulence (or lack there of) played a part. Moving the bung to a better stretch of pipe cleared up the problem.
