Question Wastegate exhaust routing

I already saw the post about re-routing the WG exhaust into the DP , but has anyone thaught and / or tried running a totally separate system alongside the main system utalizing a separate silencer and maybe 1.5"- 1.75" i.d. tubing ? , can anyone post pics?.

in about 6 weeks time i can post pics of exactly that, cause it is exactly what i am hoping to set up on my car, not sure if i am gonna use a pair of 35mm wastegates or a single 42/45, either way i plan on running a single 2inch exhuast system down the right hand side of the car and have a muffler etc at the back, currently have 3 inch single with one muffler exiting out the left rear, if i get a similar sized muffler and put a 3 inch tip on it, no one would be any the wiser - apart from the very serious look my car already has hehehe.

You can have it look like those 79-80 SA's with there little seprate exh pipe next to the muffler. Maybe put a little tractor silencer in the system somewhere. Hmm... got me thinking about my own project now.

That seems like it could be overkill. I wonder if the gains justify the weight. I'm not busting your ***** though; I hope it works out. Good luck.

After I can't take the noise of the open wastegate anymore, I may go this route. I was thinking of trying to fit a small muffler, like maybe a motorcycle can, beneath the tranny, but not routing it all the way to the back. Should afford you most of the hp advantages of a open wg without all the noise. When I was last under there it looks like it'll be quite a pain to route a whole separate pipe to the back. Seemed like there were some problem areas space-wise. But best of luck and let us know how it turns out!
