Waste gate and boost controller?

If using a electronic boost controller hooked up to the waste gate, does it matter what spring is in it. Do you have to take the spring out?

You leave the wastegate alone, hook up the lines to the solenoid and your set. A boost controller is only made to increase boost, and help prevent boost spikes.

Stiffer springs may hold boost better up top. I wouldn't say that the spring doesn't matter at all... depends on your setup.
