800-850 degrees C. Which is right at or or just below FD EGTs when racing.

I had my EGT set to 900C for first alert

You bet. Napa has mild steel bungs (anti-fouling spark plug extenders...cut off the last 1/4" in size 18mm by 1.5) two for under $5. Works great. Put a bolt and and a nut on the extra one for a plug when the O2 sensor is not in there.

And, the sensor should last over a hundred thousand miles.
Thanks Bryan, it was your story that I was after. Glad to hear they last a while.

Yes, I have used the unit with a number of different cars and it seems to work perfectly. It responds quickly and as far as I can tell, it remains accurate. The reports from other users say that the numbers generated by the OZ unit or the american version are "spot on" with commercially available and expensive "professional" sensors.

Sensors are available from Tech Edge, this day, the 31st of OCT. They are available from The Parts Bin this day also, according to the Yahoo, Tech Edge, group. 125 bucks.

If you are talking about Peter's setup the answer is no. Try his website for excellent service on kits or prebuilt units

FWIW. - Both Napa online and the Autoparts Giant both cancelled my inline orders because of "Out of Stock".

I re-ordered from "The Parts Bin", and recieved it two days later.

Try this place for the sensor:
Jackson autosport
Winnipeg Manitoba
Canada
(204) 235-1123
They have a website , but it is down for some reason right now..
I bought my FJO wideband from them as a package, but they did mention they sell replacement sensors as well..
And as far as life goes, I have 6000 or so premixed miles on my wideband, so far so good..
The important thing is don't leave the sensor on with the engine off, and don't leave the engine on with the sensor heater off...Max

Is there an on/off switch for it or something? How would I leave the sensor heater "off" then?

Something's not making sense.

My wideband is wired into my ignition, which I assume yours should be to, you shouldn't leave the wideband powered up for long period of time with the engine not running, nor should you run the engine with the power disconnected to the o2 sensor, I was supplied a plug so I could pull the sensor out should a problem occur with the controller unit. Oh, Okay now. Thanks for explaining it. Yeah, I have it wired into the ignition hot side of my secondary fuse panel.

Thanks for the head up.

Jeff, it was a question about the orientation of some of the components. I figured it out though. I may be PMing you. I am bout to finish the controller. Need to start up on the display.

However, what did you use and where did you find something to make the Sensor to controler wiring? I understand how to get wire I was wondering if you found some good stuff to protect the wire with.

Nope--No good stuff (plain old e-tape inside of split access tubing) although I am considering getting the fireproof stuff they sell through Pegasus and I guess other racing parts places (summit, etc).,

If you have a Power FC and a Datalogit, you can log the WB output. I've been doing this for a few days now and I think I have everything configured so that it's accurate. The only hard part is finding a long straight road where you can redline in third gear :-) Personally, I've been terrorizing (not really) a stretch of I-75 between two exits. No cops, and no traffic late at night after all the grandparents have gone to bed.

I believe someone came up with a small program (it's on the TechEdge web page) that runs in Windows which does similar albeit without rpm. I heard they were going to include rpm logging in the next version but I am not positive. I think they're considering on-board RAM as well.

Two things I learned building my kit.

1. Holley makes a bung for the sensor Part # 534-49 Advance Auto has it for like $3

2. Used this stuff to protect my cable. Looks nice and pro
http://cableorganizer.com/clean-cut/ I used the 1/4" stuff.

Does this cable protection expand to slide over connectors and such? So I could install it without re-doing half my wiring?
