Do yourself a favour.
Buy a HKS 60mm gt2.
Dont **** with rubbish.
I know im going to get dribble about how their proven and run big number cars blah blah blah blah. But they are ****. Seen heaps of them, broken valves, shitloads of them with failed diaphrams.

They charge big dollars for nothing.

TIAL 60mm or HKS GT2 60mm. BEST 2 gates on the market.

We have been using them for some time with out any issue what so ever. In fact i have had issues with HKS and Tial but not turbosmart. Do you have any pictures or info on the failures it would be nice to have.

On my personal car I am using all turbosmart ....so proof would be nice, I have never seen a failure from there product ever, so forgive me if I am a little sceptical.

They are Tial clones. Just get the real ****. Even if one Tial fails you, there are going to be less problems with them overall than most of these clones.

We used them for years without issue, I didn't care for the flanges or clamps but they worked fine. I started using TiAL simply because they are here locally.

I bought a turbosmart boost controller from AZ Rotary Rockets and have had no issues with it at all. And Glen gave me a pretty good deal on them too. As soon as I get my new manifold I'll be ordering a wastegate too.

I think this is the most retarded comment in here, OF COURSE YOU'D RATHER BEAT OFF!!!! EVERYONE LIKES THAT!!!!!!!

If you haven't used their products you really shouldn't be making asinine comments. This thread is for collecting facts and testimonials on the products.

Comments like "those look like rubbish" and "turbostupid" doesn't count and is counter productive.

I have used both turbosmart. HKS tial.

I dont bother with the smaller gates.
Ive tested all three 60mm gates.

The HKS and the TIAL i couldnt fault.
Ive never had a hks or tial gate fail.

Ive had more then enough turbosmart gates fail that i couldnt count them on my fingers. And they will make any excuse at the factory not to warrant them. If they at least followed through with their warranty, then you know they have confidence in their product and happy to replace.

Ive had one 48mm snap a valve.

two of their new 60mm gates kill diaphrams.

And ive had alot of the 38mm gates not seal properly and lean when not on boost etc.

Tial and HKS. Everytime i fit a gate. PERFECTION.

Most of these people have NO IDEA of the company or the founder or how big of a total joke they are

Some do know first hand more than the groupies ever will lol

Turbodumb is as dodgy as it gets, all claims no substance, their back up speaks volumes....... sty the **** away and buy from a real company with proper engineering credentials and resources is my tip.

Don't come crying after you have been warned by people who actually know the history behind the "company"

LOL

they have no foundry *out sourced*
they do little actual machining *fact*
their boost controllers were bought poor technology from another company *fact*
excuse rate for failures is std practice *fact*

Why anyone would buy the crap when there are real engineering houses around the globe with credible manufacturing resources/development/ and OEM ties is beyond any ones comprehension.

"Turbosmart is the world’s leading manufacturer of turbo accessories."

^ That line takes the ******* cake!!! what a 100% certified crock of horse ****!

"To produce such high quality products, Turbosmart employs the latest technology; from million-dollar multi-axis CNC equipment and Finite Element Analysis software to a dust-free, temperature-controlled assembly area and a strict quality control process that assures microscopic precision of the components.
More hand-crafted than mass-produced, Turbosmart products are treated with an exceptional care and attention to detail in an endless pursuit of excellence."

^Funny can only see one machining centre in the exhaustive personal profile and what looks like a storage warehouse lol! The Alloy 20B center plate they copied (from Xtreme Rotaries) was farmed out to another Chinese company to get made so obviously they need to spend a few more million to buy machines that can do the job lol

"© Turbosmart Pty Ltd. All rights reserved.
Turbosmart Pty Limited has made every effort to provide the most accurate and up to date information on this web site, however we can not be held responsible for any errors or omissions and reserve the right to make changes without notice."

^Nice clause there LOL

LoL, I knew the 20b plate was gonna be mentioned as soon as I saw peters first post. I thought it was determined that the designs of the Xtreme Rotaries plate and the Turbosmart ones were different in a thread in the 20b section. I think Xtremes was a better 2 piece design that allowed it to have coolant passages whereas the turbosmart is a single piece design without coolant passages and was meant for drag racing only. I could be wrong though.

RXHEAVEN WA seems to hate everything Australian.

Nothing wrong with turbosmarts wastegates. The early ones were a bit bulky but the new ones are awesome.

What does being bulky have to do with wastegates failing and boost spikes?

Can’t say i have used hundreds of turbosmart gates but the few I have used have worked fine. No problems.

Never Used a HKS gate but they look like a good bit of gear.
Have used plenty of tials and they have all been great.

i dont know why some users are sayin turbosmart is rubbish and ****
look at all the puertoricans running turbosmart boost controllers, wastegates and blow off valves, they use the damd thing, they dont keep bashing on other company's
look at raceonly's site .. he even sells knock off parts , now dont you think that is a blow for the company that makes the original product ?
