I read that you can use the 1/8 NPT on the Tial's thread since they are near identical, has anyone?

I have, the 1/8npt is tapered so it will only go in a few threads at the most but i have put them in and they did not leak my only concern is being that they are so shallow they might vibrate loose. So what i did was use a tap and tap it out a little bit of course this requires you to take the gate apart.
