turbo tirm? (pics)

is there anyway to find out what the A/R and trim are on a turbo by looking at it? I just got a 60-1 but the guy I got it from didn't know much about it. On the front housing it says A/R .55 M12 P does that mean that it is a A/R .55 with P tirm? I hope not.

Well, it is a .55 on the compressor side..

To find out the Turbine A/R look inside the exaust flange. It should be stamped..

it say this

2
.32

Can I buy just a new hot side with a A/R of about .86 and put it on here? or would I be better off to just sell the fu@ker and get a nother one?

whats a good A/R for the compressor side?

Depends on how much you spend on it..

But yes you can just change out the hot side..

I would do either a .84, .96, 1.15..... Depending on what you are looking for..

1.15 would be more topend power.

BTW you can get a new 60-1 for around 600-700 usually...

Then i would try to get out from under it for what you paied.. and buy a new one with the correct exhaust housing.. A .32 is way to small for a rotary.. Try to sell it on the supra forum maybe..

I would check with greg, or the RX7Store.. they both have good prices.

If you've dealt with turbine's long enough, you start to get to know sizes. There's a BIG difference between .32 and 1.32.

Depending on what you want to boost, is dependent on what HP you'll achieve.

a T-04S boosting 1.5 will put out 530 hp to the wheels on a 13B-REW...

...But I think I'll go with either the 68-1 or the T-66....

Ok, 1.32 is good.. A large street ported rotary will love it

It will be a little laggy, but not to bad.. Thee top end pull will be awsome.. it feals like it is just gonna keep going forever...

Garrett T04S04 is the same as a Turbonetics TS04, or so I've been told by two different turbo retailers. The only supposed difference is the 4" inlet on the TS04 vs the 3" inlet on the T04S04.

I was told by one of the turbo people that the Turbonetics TS04 is a copy of the Garrett T04S04, except for the inlet size. I have not personally looked up the specs to verify what I was told.

http://64.225.76.178/main.htm sells the TS04 for $1259.98
