since no one has said anything yet i guess i'll start . I have no experience with those turbo's but from what i understand they are low quality garbage that will not last . don't take my word for it . Hopefully someone that has dealt with the ssautochrome turbo's will chime in .

Quality of turbo is one thing i cant personally say, most have said there garbage but other than that ill go on and as\nwer your other question.

To upgrade to a turbo like that you would need prefarably.

fuel pump to walbro 255
FMIC
1600 cc secondaries ( or at least 720ccs )
and then soemthing to control this like a greedy e manage ultimate or if you have the $$ a stand alone to do it correctly the first time.

then down pipe , exhaust
and manifold ,wich i think you said you had a hks wich it will fit/.

Get yourself a greddy, garret, or precision turbo.. Does not make sense in trying to see if that ebay turbo can make power and be reliable. When you can use a company who has been making good products for years. Take your time and read as much as you can about going single and decide what you really want to do with your car and what HP goal you want..

Turbo
Turbo exhaust manifold
Downpipe (adapter)
FMIC (kit)
Intake
Fuel system
Ignition system
*Stand-alone EMS*
Gauges
*engine rebuild*
...and to pay someone to tune all of that?

$5,000 actually sounds cheap to me...

I second the motion, in all honestly if you have to wait a little to save up enough to get some quality proven parts the end result will be worth the wait. You will have a car that is more enjoyable.
