turbine housing

Anyone have a .96 tang with vband ? I'm having a REALLY fricken hard time anyone willing to weld a vband flange. I know it's difficult to do but not impossible. Living on an island has it's downs since no one knows **** about welding disimilar metals.
So, I'm willing to buy a vband tang .96 P-trim housing if anyone has a spare.

All they need to know is it must be TIG welded using nickle rod/filler. Heat both the v-band flange and the turbine housing in an oven before welding and let it cool off slowly after you weld it. MAke sure BOTH surfaces are scuffed up and CLEAN before welding. FWIW, you can buy these already done from most Garrett distributers/retailers.

LOL...I know the procedure and have read about it extensively but tell it to the welders in Hawaii. They don't know ****. All they say is it's impossible. The reason I'm looking for a welder is because I have 3 turbine housings and wanted a vband discharge. You mainland guys are lucky you don't have to deal with this ****.

phoenix turbo...ask for ken. He welds all the flanges .Sometimes the casting itself is the problem and not the flange.
