TO4S Missing at 0.7 and above-please help!

I have just fitted T04S etc. However when attempting to tune the car with the wideband the car seem to be 'missing' kind of breaking up when I got to about 0.7 to 0.8 of a bar.
We thought it was running to rich and missing because of this, although we have run it in the tens elevens and twelves and nothing changed, it still seemed to be breaking up when reaching about 0.7bar. Although the car is fine below these boost levels, if I hold the car at 0.5bar it feels great.
Any ideas guys, definetly not the plugs or leads would any of these things give this problem throttle position sensor? map sensor? coils?
Thanks in advance Ross. UK

do you have an upgraded ignition? heard of a couple people having similar issues. HKS twin power is most common used when going single turbo

I dont think the twin power is necessary if the car is mapped etc properly.

i think you might want to reconsider your postion on stock ignitions vs a twin power type setup. i have heard from most people that once you start to reach a certain level of flow/fuel, the stock ignition simply cant keep up with spark demands, and it causes the curve to skip or miss, breaking up at higher boost levels. the hks system seems to be the most popular for high power applications.

good luck, and keep us updated. i am using the stock ignition, and plan to upgrade to the hks once i have my car running better.

I don't think you're scratching the limits of the stock ignition, yet. That would be more of a 6K stumble and higher knock.

Put in fresh plugs and wires. Until then, send me your current map to Rx7@columbus.rr.com with a zipped log of your last runs on that map. I'll take a look.

Regards,

Tony K.

What ecu are you running? Is that .8 according to a Power FC or a gauge thats actually going to the manifold?

What plugs are you running? It sounds like your probably running the stock trailing plugs all the way around.

Throw in some 10's and see if it helps.

I am running the 9s all round. I have been thinking that the ground for the coils may not be good enough, so am in the process of setting up something a little better. Could the ground be ok at .5bar but cause the ignition to break up when I reach .7bar?
I also checked the plugs and they do are not consistantly coloured only two of the four bits on each plug are biege opposed to black which is the colour of the other two bits on each plug.
