IGL is you main timing parameter. Split is the difference of IGT from IGL. I use split to determine IGT.

IGL-------IGT-------SPLIT
******************
4 ***** -6 ***** 10
20 **** 10 ***** 10
20 **** 19 ***** -1

Not a hard concept.

uhh... you would first need to tell us what engine management you are running, if you have a stock ECU it cannot be altered but then again i doubt this would be here if you have a stock ECU.

if you don't understand timing split you probably shouldn't be messing with it anyways.

i was answering your question.

the ECU goes to 0 split off idle and even negative split under hard loads at low RPMs and increases the split later in the power range.

the answer to your original question is still.. you cannot change the split with the stock ECU.

Well: depending on which after market ECU you have, you would take the IGL you want and from that calculate IGT based on your desired split and enter both your IGL and IGT.

With the PFC, that is 800 cells of manual entry. With the PFC and Datalogit you could cut and pastes the IGL if you got it from another map or enter all 400 cells. Then on the IGT screen, activate the "SPLIT" function and enter split. This will automatically calculate IGT.

Safest is to pay me $50 when you get a PFC and DL and I will do it for you,
or pay Pineapple Racing to do it for you!
