thinking of single conv. need honest answer

Here's the deal. I'm aiming for simplicity and diferent at the same time. I'd like to upgrade to the Single Apexi RX6 Turbo, using a JDM Mazdaspeed SMIC that i'm about to order. can the mazda speed support, and this setup with the correct fuel. PFC and Stock motor support 300rwhp Extremely Reliably or should i change something for ex bigger IC. I only need 300 Rear. trying to keep 10psi. 12 only if i have to. already ordered mazdaspeed Suspension bushings and other goodies. and am also ordering Ground zero LIM. BTW will the GZ/Extreme? LIM that is equal runners and just came out comatible with the rx6 turbo kit?

Thanks for any help and info!!

If you only need to run 10-12 psi then stick with the stock twins and go non-seq.

You won't like the single setup. It's too much power, your tires get worned out too quick due to the power, the surge of power at one time is too much to handle, the look of the engine bay with that shinny big single is addicting to look at your buddies gives you too many compliments. On top of that, you pretty much beat almost any car that want to run with you. So, don't do it!

haha nice. seriously though. is this a worthwile option? i'd like to keep the stock twins. but the simplicity of a single with same spooling and lower temps is very tempting.

Yes, it's well worth it. Especially, when you install it yourself and put some wrenching time to it. I went from a healthy twins to a Davinci Motorsports Single kit and love every single moment of it. I can tell you that the power is very additive. Just make sure you have the fuel setup and PFC for it. You won't regret it.

At 12psi of boost I put down 322rwhp so you don't need a single turbo for that. Oh and that hp figure was running sequential.

i know i can do it with my non sq twins. but i want to simplify, the engine bay and get as much heat as possible. which getting rid of that giant twin turbo for a simpler single is a big help. agan will the mazdaspeed smic hold about 325-350maxrwhp? no more then 12-13psi?

Your best bet will be asking Groundzero/Xcessive themselves about if their LIM will fit the kit you are interested in or not.

keep stock LIM...and run a small single with a SMIC, you'll be fine and exceed your HP expections.

Spend the GZ LIM money on a WI set-up
