T67 compressor surge?

just noticed this the other day.....put on a intake to route cooler air into the turbo inlet and noticed a chug sound. Say chug chug chug really fast and u got it. only under boost did it make this sound. took the intake off and it quit???
Running a type s Greddy bov.......and it sounds like it is realeasing. Any ideas. What could be causing this?

no the wastegate isn't the problem. the bov is not allowing enough pressure to release. not a big deal

Dude I run 18psi on my Greddy Type S with no leaks (pressure test confirmed) or compressor surge, although I have had those problems before. Make sure you have a good pressure source for it and the spring is adjusted properly.
