T66 FC completion

Well at the beggining of winter me(fd) and my friend (fc) decided to rent out a place(neither of us having garages) and store the cars for the winter. Well its always been a rivalry between me and my friend who was faster, i got him into the 7's and ive ALWAYS been faster, when he got his car running good, i had my 40r already, and would beat up on him pretty good. At that time he was full bolt on, standalone at 13psi. So having this garage kinda fueled the fire. So at the beggining, the plan was race port, and all. The full 100 yards. Well as we got going, little stuff kept popping up, and money started to run short VERY fast. So until next winter this will be the setup. Mod list is as follows:

t66 Dual Ball bearing turbo 66mm compressor .84 A/R
Stock ported motor(for now)
Greddy front mount
KG parts 1600cc secondaries
Cleaned and balanced stock primaries
Microtech LT8 standalone
ACT Extreme Clutch
Resurfaced stock flywheel
Full 3 inch Custom exhaust
Sepentine Conversion(GuitarJunkie RIP)
Greddy Profec Spec B EBC
Koyo radiator
HKS Log manifold
HKS 50mm wastegate dumping
ALL steel braided lines, coolant, oil feed, return, oil cooler, everything is steel braided
Defi BF series link guages
5 zigen FN01r-c polished black 17x8 and 17x10

*Bigger pics will be up when photobucket starts working correct*

looks really good! should be a beast! ONly thing I can see that will need to be taken care of unless I'm just seeing it wrong is the oil return line. Looks like it's got a huge dip in it witch will cause oil to pool.

Tires are toyo T1r, 245/45/16's all the way around. Going to paint the wheels black when the weather gets warmer. I think it will improve the look a little.

Bastard- I was talking about tires on the FD. The FC still has the t1-S with quiet a bit of tread left

I think the picture is making it very pronounced. The radiator hose is making it seem like its dipping very much. I havnt seen the car in a little, so i cant remember exactly. But im fairly sure its not dipping near as much as it looks. THe problem is, the oil return on the t66 has a weird flange, and i dont think the "t4" style flange that is like the connection to the block will bolt onto the turbo. So i used that line, cut it in half, and used an existing drain, but placement of the drain made it extremely hard. Im still attempting to think of an alternative. I think to get the oil drain off to test it, i have to take the turbo off, and it is not fun, easy, or non-time consuming. I might try to get under the car tommorow and see if i can pop the oil drain off. If i can, since i already cut the line, i will buy more line, remake the fitting, and do it that way. Thanks for pointing that out, i didnt notice it was dipped as much as it looks to be.

If it's a problem, cut the line. The turbo I used it with sat much farther back and the Series 5 connection is moved further forward on the front cover therefore you will probably need to trim a bit out of the line and re-install the fitting. Overall, not much of a problem.

The problem isnt really remaking the line. THe problem lies that the fitting on the line, the part that mates to the block, does not have the same "shape" as the return flange on the turbo. The return is long, and rectangle, where as the "t4" line is circular. Im going to take a measurment today and see if the bolt holes still line up, but i dont think they do, i guess another option is to make the line again, longer, and then cut off some of the oil drain, so the line isnt as much of an akward angle as it is. Ill take some pcis later

Well I know the other bryan is interested in the line, you could always sell it to him.

^^Well i already cut the hell out of the line. i guess i could sell him the fittings with a new line, and he could make it. Im gonna head over to the garage in a little bit and take a some measurement and see what my options are.i really like how the braided line goes direct to the front cover. im sure i can figure something out to make it work correctly
