An HKS T51R Kai is borderline streetable.
I would not recommend the T51R SPL - we're talking powerband after 5,000RPM.
BP?
Streetable, but mainly like i said before, im not gonan drive it much at all, and when i do itll be more for highway runs rather than strip....
Swapping in 1600's will not support that kinda power.
Stock 550's primaries and 1600's secondaries will barely support 420hp at the wheels at stock fuel rail pressure levels.
If you're looking to make over 500 at the wheels, you need something a lot larger than your stock 550 primaries.
I was thinking 850/1600...
How much money are you willing to spend here?
Unless the motor was rebuilt recently, this is not recommended on a stock block.
You're looking to DOUBLE the stock horsepower out of the motor.
Itll be a fully rebuilt street port, and money is no issue
I don't like a Power FC in this kinda application.
A full stand-alone is a lot more flexible.
? Power FC is standaloneIt really sounds like you're grabbing a bunch of parts from catalogs and dreaming to put them together.
This is really a $10,000+ project, unless you got hook-up's for parts?
No catologs, and more than 10k ;-)
Mileage?
You're worried about how long the engine will stay together?
Man, this is not something most people worry about if you're shooting for 500+ hp.
Not worried, just currious
Once a month fun car?
On the street???
Something I can take out every now and then and cruise the streets at night when the temperature is nice, get on the interstate and run some of the local guys...

550 / 1600 comes out to 551.
Knock 15% off of that, and we get 468.
850 / 1600 comes out to 628.
Knock off 15% off that, and we get 533.
This is assuming 85% max duty cycle.
They numbers look a little liberal to me, as I wouldn't try and go past 450 with 550 / 1600 combo.
I'd say the 850 / 1600 combo is right at the edge at around 500 at the wheels.

There are a lot of other units which have better resolution and more flexibility for tuning.

^agreed...
but if you are planning an unlimited budget for this project...GET A NEW FREAKIN' PRIMARY RAIL...
they aren't expensive and you can drop in 1000cc + injectors...and be done with it.
