whats considered better allround (power, responce), the GTX 3540 or a TO4Z exhaust?

was going to order the efr BW but with the supply a pay and wait game im not willing to go there until some numbers are on the board and they are on the shelf and car still set up for the Z at the moment

 

Consensus seems to be the cast compressor is too much air for the 35 turbine on a rotary let alone the slightly larger diameter and machined billet one. If you want better response I'd say of the the 62 compressor inducer P-trim or similar turbine setups would be the go, but if you already have an 04z there probably isn't much point changing.

If you want to stick with garrett a GT3788R is supposed to spool faster than a z and make good power with a similar sized turbine to P-trim.

 

Best power and response I would take the GTX35R over a TO4Z, around 1200rpms faster spool, better transient response, and probably make with 50rwhp of a To4Z..

I am hoping to see the results of a few GTX35R(s) shortly..

 

Sounds good i just bought a GTX35 with a tial 1.03 rear cant wait to fit it

 

im set up for To4z as mine seems to be one fo the few that couldnt handle the jandle. Im sure there has always been an issue with this turbo....

anyway am replacing it, but looking for best option. for price etc along with power and responce Z is probably better option but wanted to know if anyone has data comparing the both in real world

 

thelevman on ausrotary make something like 540rwhp on DD with a GT3788R and said it came on real early on his extend port 13b. I believe the guys with the track spec wide body FD who's name escapes me was making similar power with a bridgeport & 3788 too.
