Suggestions needed: T04B upgrade or new turbo WTB also
I have a
T04B a/r .96 exh and .60 compressor side
P trim turbine wheel and V trim compressor.
I'd like to get a bigger compressor wheel but not sure what's more cost effective
here are my options:
-Sell the one I have now and purchase another that suits my needs
or
-upgrade the compressor wheel and housing? I'd also have to get a place to balance the wheels if i went this route.
I'm open to suggestions and also interested if anyone is selling any turbos.
Shop or individual, let me know what you got.
Here's what would interest me
T04S
GT40
T04B 60-1
T04B H trim
T04E 60
T-58 / TS04
GT35R

There's no real goal for the compressor upgrade, i just think it's out of its efficiency range for a rotary setup.
I'm aiming towards a 350whp goal with a single turbo setup without a lot of turbo lag

I used to run a t04e 57 trim (i did 11's on 14psi with it), and that will get you your goal of 350 wheel efficiently, the V Trim isnt much smaller and should do 350 alright too
I upgraded to a T04R 63 trim wheel in the T04e cover because i am shooting for 500 wheel now, it only cost 100 dollars for the machining and 75 to balance, cant beat that
here is a pic for an idea the relative size of popular wheels
left is stock s5................middle is the 57 trim........... and right is the t04r
you can have my 57 trim wheel for dirt cheap

I would just swap to a divided 1.0 housing and run the turbo.

thanks for the input, would i need a lot of boost to reach that goal? I want to keep it at around 11-12 if possible
so i should go with a bigger a/r but divided housing?
