StreetPort with single Turbo & 20+psi How long?

Well i waz talking to a friend and we got into how long a streetported single turbo FD pushing 20+ Psi would last.....And he told me that it would not last very long unless it waz only driven on weekends....??

Just wanted to get knowlegable opinions on how long an FD with a single turbo/streetport and all the supporting parts boosting over 20 psi would last?

its not really that easy to say. there are many factor to it. But with moderate driving and boost at 20 i would say about 15,000 maybe. I have a freind that lasted for 10,000 on stock motor at 23 psi and then its started to go south. Just my .02c MARc

I've been running the hell out of my car at 18psi for the past 20k, and I have an aggressive street port with all the other mods to go with it. Any time you have cars modded to make optimal horspower your engine life will decrease, however there is no reason you can't run a ton of boost for well over 20k miles, its all about how well you have it tuned. Dowel pinning isn't a factor untill you start making 600+hp.

Besides, 20+ psi is meant to be run with race fuel on the track some place. There are a few guys around here that run 20psi with pump gas on the street.
