I can tell you right now though that 10psi on a BNR stage 3 will feel slower than what you have right now. It will be lacking in torque in comparison.

I remember when I ran my T04S 60-1 (not a bolt on BNR, a full T4 60-1). At my 10psi wastegate spring it wasn't very fun, not compared to the 13-14psi I was running on the stock turbo. I'd get the BNR stage 3 if that's what you want and run it at 17psi peak then taper it down to 13-14psi at redline if that's what you need to do. A lot of boost controllers can be adjusted to do that. That's pretty much standard practice on a lot of 4 cylinders. A stage 2 would spool better though because it doesn't have the clipped turbine wheel. Maybe you should look into that if you really want to preserve the torque you have right now.

Thanks for the info finally starting to learn. What would feel better to run the bnr stage 2 or 3 or just buy this guys 60 trim precision turbo and an exhaust manifold and an external wastegate. Would it feel really laggy? Am i still not gonna be able to make high end power because im not porting the motor?

Which BNR turbo you go with depends on your goals.

The stage 1 is perfect in that you can run higher than your 11psi for drifting, and make more power up top, and still have nearly identical response from a stock S5 turbo.

Stage 2 is good if you want to run more boost, make more power, but you will loose a bit of low-end power due to the lower backpressure from the clipped turbine wheel but make it up in the top end.

Stage 3 is good if you want to run even more boost up to around 16psi and make much more power. The turbine is almost the same as the stage 2 and the hit from the turbo will be a bit harder.
If you decide on this turbo, i recommend you keep the twin-scroll function as its an option to keep on these turbos to keep as much low end as possible cause i know drifters need some low end in the tighter corners.

Stage 4 is basically for those who want to make lots of power on a somewhat stockish turbo.

coming from me, i would recommend the stage 3 since it will more than satisfy your needs for drifting and highway/drag, but still have a little bit of room in case you want to push a bit more boost.

Thanks this definately helps how much hp do you think it will gain and will it still have some good tourqe behind it on a stage 3? How high do you think the powerband will make power to?

As for how high the powerband will be, it all depends if you have portwork done or not, but assuming you dont want to rebuild anytime soon staying with stock ports.
Im willing to bet you'll be able to have enough flow from this turbo to go just past 7krpm, but no higher than 8k at best (dont keep your hopes high).
On a dyno chart i would think that power would level out at 6500-6800 and start trailing off after 7k.

As for how much power..... going by BNRs page, you can get around 350hp at 15psi.

realisitcally, at 15psi, you'll see around 330rwhp. As for torque, i have no clue, maybe around 280ish if you have a really good tune.

BNR states the stage 3 is good for 16psi, but you already are pushing the limits of the stock turbo at 17psi.

If you push the stage 3 past its 16psi efficiency, you'll probably get closer to 360hp+, which im sure will have much higher torque output.

You should post a video of your car on the dyno if you have one, showing the graph.

I know we are all interested in seeing the sights and sounds from this beast.

alright thanks for the help i just cant make up my mind i dont know what i should do haha. But im getting new injectors soon so ill post up the new dyno sheet when i have to re tune. Hopefully my turbo holds up it seems to still boost strong on 11 and 17 no problems and has no shaft play but you never know its still been pushed hard on two other dyno sessions.
