Stock Mount w/A-spec longrun manifold?

Stock Mount w/A-spec longrun manifold?
Does anyone have a large stock mount Intercooler (Pettit, ASP, M2 not PFS) and use it with the A-spec long run manifold, can this be made to work? And if So, can you please post pics?! I really dont feel like doing a V-mount or cutting my bumper and getting a front mount, please tell me someone has made this setup work!

It looks like there are quite a few guys running M2 mediums and at least one M2 large with different single kits. But what manifold are they all running, the shorty?
I have been told by Zero R that the long runner won't work at all with my M2 large

Man, I have both of these on order and this is the first I've read or heard of this. I just called Aspec and they said the long runner manifold puts the turbo much farther forward than short runner manifold and there may not be enough room between the turbo and the bottom of the IC for a filter.
I'm going to message Damian and see what he thinks. If worse comes to worst I guess I'll get the medium IC or the short runner manifold... blah....

exactly, this is the problem I have using the Pettit Large I could barely get the turbo to fit and the turbo to IC pipe was going to be wierd, not to mention no room for a filter(unless you have a headlight kit and can route a pipe to the front to get fresh air-which I dont have), I then bought the shorty manifold and my HP numbers are significantly lower than I want and I am told by several others as well as A-spec it is because the shorty. the IC worked well with the HKS manifold I had and the Aspec shorty, but I need more power than the shorty is going to let me get. Where can I get the M2 medium or is that now the ASP medium? and do you guys think that medium IC is big enough for the GT35R? If that will work thats what I'm going to get, I dont want a front mount and I'm too lazy to do a v-mount
Palsor if you have both on order then you better change the manifold to the shorty(be prepared to be upset about power goals), or be sure to get the medium intercooler.

Would it be possible for you to route a pipe down to the lower passenger side oil cooler vent and mount filter down there somewhere?
I'm not at home so I can look at my car and see if there is metal or piping in the way or not.

Well, the guys at ASP seemed to feel pretty confident the large IC would fit with a little work. I'll get both and see how they do. I should have them in a few weeks so I can take pictures and post them.

but he had problems with it heat soaking on the dyno but at cruising speeds its fine, he and steve kan both think the whole intercooler isnt being utilized so i suggested maybe putting in some baffles..

Interesting. So that is with the a-spec long runner manifold huh? which was the part from ATP turbo, that white accordian section?
Edit: just noticed that the hot side end tank inlet has been moved. So it definitely won't work as-is.....

I talked to Aspec today and I should be getting my turbo kit in a week or two. I also talked to ASP and my IC is just awaiting the ducting to get finished, so hopefully I'll get that before too long as well. Once I get everything in I'll take some pictures for you.

any word on this yet? I am waiting to see if you have to switch out your IC for the medium one, but I dont think it'll matter because the medium IC makes for more room on the right side(battery side) and the left side (filter side) still seems to be the same, which is where the filter fitment problem is.

I ended up selling my m2 large and going with a blitz fmic. Now that the turbo is installed with the long runner mani, I can see that there would have been severe fitment problems with the smic. Not saying it's not possible, but it'll be tough. The duct pushes the ic core so far back that the hot side inlet basically sits almost right in front of the compressor.

any word yet? I'll take Richs word and assume it wont work, now debating between Blits FMIC or a V-mount....any opinions on different V-mount kits? are they a PITA?
