I've had a little experience with their parts(mostly manifolds and exhausts). I haven't had any problems with them. Given I have never bought a turbo kit from them, but I am waiting to see how Scott's kit turns out for the simple fact that his information is going to be first hand... not the good ol' "my friend has a friend who had one..." story. Good luck Scott and I look forward to seeing the results. I don't think I'll put one on my FD. But I have a nice 91 JSPEC that could use one when I find another T2 to put it in. Might have to try one out if yours turns out ok.

Well I've read good & bad about these turbos, haven't ever used one and I'm on the fence at the moment.

I DO definitely have to take issue with someone that posts not only here but on other forums the same pics/post/bash, there's usually a motive for that kind of blatent cross-post BS. Usually it's a misunderstanding or someone trying to "get back" at a company they think did them wrong. Whether or not anyone did them wrong is usually the question, and in my humble experience it's most often the user that has done something wrong and wants something for nothing.

I'd like to believe this turbo will work for me because of the price and by the failure pics it does look like a bearing/bushing failure, the cause of the failure is the unknown factor. It's a VERY expensive proposition for a company to get into the biz of building any tooling-intensive item like a turbo and it's not something you can just start doing. The company manuf. these obviously knows how to build a turbo, but these may be factory seconds or who knows?

Sorry to bring this WAY back from the dead, but, I want to know - Why were the pictures / results never posted? Did the turbo disintegrate before it even got put on the car, or what?

Seeing as there were never any results, I'm guessing so.

If so, RETed+1

I'm pretty sure he sold his car shortly after this thread. Don't know if he ever finished putting it on or not. I would assume not. PhatManBud is running one of these kits and has been running it for a while... he is just now starting to turn up the boost though. Manifolds seem to be good as a general concensus on the forum. The turbo seems to vary... but seems to be a hit or miss at the toss of a coin. In the end, I guess it's up to the consumer. I personally wouldn't put one of the turbo's on, but don't see a problem with the other products.

Yeah...so far so good. Ive run it at 14psi a couple times on accident and it still hasnt split in 2 on me. And the car felt FAST. Im getting a 10psi spring for the wastegate so i could run it at 10 pounds all the time.

JUNK, I ebay alot, but would not trust them turbo's! To Me XS power means junk, They're prices are great though! Get some magnets for your fuel lines and a tornado you'll have more boost than one of these turbo's can put out... If you like em' good fer U, I don't want to experiment with them. Just have fun!
