It was great , it produced a lot more torque all through th RPM's , mainly 'cause of the port . I would see 10 psi boost by 4000 , 15 psi between 4700 and 6500 and from 6600 rpm, boost would jump to 26 psi + , and this with a pair of 35mm WG's and no boost controller . For a street car though I think the power band wasn't wide enough , the turbo is a bit too laggy for the street , its great for a car that drags most of the time , but for a street driven car , more boost sooner is the ticket.

Good to see you finally got the car up and running. Can't wait to see what she does at the dyno and track. Let me know how the autotronic is working, ease of use, tuning feature ect. Thanks, good job, and good luck.

I'll be happy with anything over 500RWHP by 20 psi.

So the runners are short and blend in below that top flange?

Heres an update ,.... I got her running and and rented an Autronic WB for a day , and did some tuning so that I'd be able to drive her for the break in without ANY problems . I got a few cells in the lower rpm sites tuned , when I checked back the data logs , I saw that the engine speed never went over 5000 RPMs , throttle opening never went over 30% and boost pressure was 15 lbs !!! , and this is from rolling in 3rd gear , (I was having some problems getting all the lower engine speed sites tuned, since my initial map was too far off !, after the Autronic did some tuning I was then able to sort it out ) , I had to change the gears early until I get up to 3rd gear cause it was bucking real bad . The turbos boosted REALLY well , I wasn't able to really scrutinize any of my datalogs so I cant say exactly I begin to see + manifold pressure but I know it begins to build way early , now for the SHITTY part ... , my friggin , OS Giken Twin plate clutch is slipping !!!! , I know I'm not making ALL that power yet , I suspect some oil got on it from a leaky input shaft seal ! , so now I have to go back in there and change it !!!

After pulling my motor and replacing the failed coolant seals , I am back on the road again trying to get her ready for tuning , all is ready .....except ! , I'm having a problem with my ECU , crank position / engine speed pickups and maybe the associated wiring .The ECU keeps reporting a "sync signal lost" error anytime the motor begins to go past 5500 RPM , I'm working on it though , hope to have it sorted out soon.

Very impressive setup. I commend you for hanging in there despite all these problems. What happened with the coolant seals? build error?

I have to get it done , it doesn't make sense giving up now . I noticed the same thing with my friend , he had a few problems too but he stuck with it , and reaped great rewards !! , he makes over 600 RWHP @ 28psi , and is the fastest rotary ever run locally @ 8.6 secs !
as for the seal failure , one of the AN fittings on a turbo coolant supply hose went loose and coolant started leaking out , since I dont have a working water temp gauge in the car (my supplier really dropped the ball) I could not know what was happening , so I dont even know how long it ran without water ! , anyway , everything is good now the coolant temp. stays constantly low now (88 deg C) I am looking into getting one of those digital dash / logger systems so that I'll see exactly what my ECU sees .Today I also fixed the RPM problem I was having , it spins to the limiter now , so I'll be tuning her soon , I'll be sure to post my results.

I'm glad to see that the progress on your car is still coming along. Now you just need to find a good tuner. At least you have a good starting point for your car now though. Granted your first dyno was low, but that has to be thanks to poor tuning and terrible ignition problems. I wish you the best of luck!!

thanks , but U think 350 @ 6300RPM and 15psi is low ?, I think its pretty good , remember the motor has just started to turn and the peripheral ports have just started to work .
