So is there anywhere I can find more about spearco intercoolers through somebody other than turbonetics.

After talking to 5 people that couldnt answer one question I had about their product I finally got a hold of there top guy. And I don’t think there top heat exchanger guy knows very much. I have asked him very basic questions about there products and he hasnt really even attempted to answer even one of my questions with reason or logical hearsay.

I asked him simply how should I attempt to size an intercooler to a specific application for minimal lag pressure drop and acceptable heat soak issues, and his only response 2 times was

“Rule of thumb when sizing up an intercooler....bigger is better. You can never go wrong with going with a large intercooler.”

So I presented him with a example of choices that would fit my application that contradicted his statement of simply “bigger is better” and why SPACIFICALY would this smaller dimension core be better in CFM and HP rating over the larger core. And he could only give me a reply of “The fins that are inside the intercooler determine the flow rate, why don’t you let us design it for you.”

Probably because you haven’t given me one indication you are competent enough to do it.

I asked him several other pertainit questions that he didnt even bother to answer either.

If you look at these dimensions they are very similar in width and height but one is about 1.5 times thicker and about half the CFM and HP rating.WHY?

If it is simply the thickness of the fins then that must be a heavy *** IC to not be able to flow even half as much air through it huh?

Does any one know someone I could talk to get some answers about why I should pick a particular spearco core over another?

Or should I just pop something big in there and hope for the best! Like jack *** Johnny says!

I know I venting hear a little I just want to talk to someone that knows a little bit about that product, and I have contacted as many places that I could find to know avail.

So are there any places I can call any people specifically on the forum I should bug??
