Smoking turbo?
I recieved this email response as advice for my new TO4R.
Any one here can advise me on what to purchase and where to accomplish this would be very helpful:
"over oiling" is a common problem and is easily solved with a proper feed and drain line setup.
we recommend a -3 feed line with at least a -10 return and a .060" oil feed restrictor, to reduce pressure at the chra.
THANKS

anplumbing.com rules... get 1 foot of -3 inlet...I think you actually have to use break lines and get 1 foot of -12. I can't remember the fittings but if you do a search they're on the forum

THE .060 restrictor is that like a carb jet .......of that size? Placed that in line?
Thanks for the response especially identifying it could be a brake line. That way I wouldnt not have ommitted that as an area to include in searching.

I doubt it is over oiling as much as pressure in crankcase. I found this out the hard way.
I eventually plugged off the pvc valve inlet of throttlebody and left the oil stalk pvc
inlet open. I also put a v-8 crankcase breather cap as the oil cap. I run a non restricted
-4 in and a full 5/8 id drain. Zero problems since- [2yrs.]

You can find everything you need here:

I recommend starting with this first:

Close off the PVC valve to the TB. Run the line from the oil neck to the can. If you still have problems buy the restrictor.

I bought the catch tank a while back and have been up the threads regarding the
case ventilation. I thought even then there could be problems so just in case I posed the question to the people I bought my T from.Thats the specs they gave me.
Thanks
